If you are receiving the 'You do not have a writing code with the selected carrier. Please check the User Profile' error in Navigator, it means the system is not recognizing that you have an active writing number with the carrier. Ensure your writing number is active in your HQ account or, if not contracted yet, please reach out to your agency/upline for help getting a writing number.
If you already have an active and appointed writing number/code with the carrier (contracted through your agency, emailed writing number from the carrier), then make sure the writing number is active in your HQ account. Carrier writing numbers will sync to Navigator from HQ.
To find this in HQ, click on your Profile icon (in the top-right corner in HQ), then select 'My Profile'. You can then click on the 'Licensing' tab to view all your active carrier writing numbers you are currently contracted with. You can also add a new writing number from this page. HQ will sync information for Navigator.
- If you don't yet have an active contract or writing number with the carrier, please contact your agency or direct upline for guidance to become licensed or appointed with any available carriers, as each agency has their own process. Once you receive the writing number, you can follow step 1 above.
